Her story is a remarkable one and a true inspiration to all. She has owned several restaurants around the Atlanta area, and has 3 different Asian concepts. Her newest is a huge space in Charlotte called AZN Azian Cuisine.
Pacific Rim Bistro
Karen Bremer worked her way all the way up the industry. Starting in family casual in her teens, she became President of the Peasant Restaurants Inc., one of Atlanta’s great restaurant groups. In 2001, she bought City Grill and Daley’s, two Atlanta landmarks. Luckily for Georgia, she became the Executive Director of the GRA in 2010.
Georgia’s restaurant industry’s GRACE awards are peer-nominated and honor the top finalists in the following categories: Restaurateur of the Year, Industry Partner of the Year,
Distinguished Service Award and the Innovator Award. The winners are announced at the event, and are presented with crystal works of art created by renowned local artist Hans-Godo Frabel. Karen is a past winner and is helping make sure this event is again a huge success.
This year they will be honoring a cutting-edge group – including Herman J. Russell, who will be on-site to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award. This event is a case study in Local, Sustainable & Green event planning. The GRACE Awards gala uses environmentally sensitive printing, sustainable decor and locally sourced food & beverage. They also include sustainable product from their Innovator Award Finalists.
In addition, a portion of the proceeds benefits the Atlanta Community Food Bank! The Atlanta Community Food Bank’s mission is to fight hunger by engaging, educating, and empowering the community.
