Mimmo Alboumeh has the biggest smile you have seen and his passion explodes across the airwaves! You will love listening to him talk about his youth, cooking with his mother and grandmother. This spring Mimmo welcomes two new locations to the Buckhead neighborhood. Mainstay Ray’s New York Pizza opened in April and Red Pepper Taqueria is slated to open in May. Both eateries are located on the corner of Piedmont Road and Peachtree Road.
Energetic and creative, Mimmo brings over 20 years of experience and knowledge to the scene. As the Owner and Executive Chef of neighborhood hot spots Red Pepper Taqueria, Coldbrews Sports Bar and Grill, & Coldbrews Oyster Bar, Chef Mimmo combines his culinary training and heritage to deliver innovative menus with unique flavors.
“Our goal is to continue providing excellent fare to Atlantans by using local, fresh organic ingredients”, he says. Differing from the average taqueria, Red Pepper redefines the Mexican restaurant experience to create bold dishes bursting with flavor.
Coldbrews Sports Bar and Grill has a great selection of American classics and seafood specialties courtesy of an in-house oyster bar, over 25 flat screen TVs to showcase the days’ in-demand games, and there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Ray’s New York Pizza hosts a selection of Italian favorites, including salads, savory sandwiches and mouth-watering New York style pizza made with the freshest ingredients. They also have unique eats, such as craft wraps made from a Saj, a dome-shaped cook top made of metal with a heat source underneath, to create a homemade flatbread used on all custom wrap creations.
