In this episode, Steve gives us the ins and outs of recruiting in the hospitality industry, including the challenges that many industry professionals face as well as tips and tricks for getting hired into the F&B scene. Steve got his start as a recruiter working for Darden Restaurants (more specifically the Olive Garden and Ted’s Montana Grill). During his time at the company, Steve placed over 500 qualified applicants into various salaried managerial positions. Since then, he has been helping the indie restaurateur fill upper management positions through his own startup, TalentServed. Though independent owners are not the only ones in his Rolodex. Just some of Steve’s satisfied customers include huge, national names like Stoney River, Arby’s, The Palm, and many more.
